During the month of Marpenoth, called Leafall, a single lich was called by Old Lord Skull. Wise in age and adept in magic was this one. Hearing the words of our Master, he set out to gather the Chosen of Myrkul to fulfill His bidding. To his side he called forth only the ones who would have the potential to bring about the Prophecy... to find the way to open the Gate to Hades.

The task set before him was not an easy one, he knew. Yet ever faithful to his Lord, the mage gathered a force that soon had Nasher's army at their doorstep. Neverwinter acknowledged the Undead Lords of the Realms as faction to be feared and respected. The winter thaw brought the month of Ches of the Sunsets and the sanctioning of Neverwinter's first undead guild.

The lich who accomplished this impossible task was Zerackus.

Most of the original founders of the Undead Lords have been called to Myrkul's side. The crown of leadership has been passed to several worthy liches. Each have had their own unique attributes and the UDL have thrived under their scrutiny.

Today, the UDL boasts over 100 knighted members and numerous squires. The ranks of the undead swelled beyond the confines of Faerun. By sheer numbers Myrkul will stride through the Gate of Hades and walk among us. His Power will extend over the living and Death shall rule supreme!

Founded October 1994--Sanctioned March 1995

Our existance is dependant upon our god, Myrkul, the god of the dead. Our purpose is to return Myrkul so that he may extend his powers over the land and shape it into his undead image.

MYRKUL--Lord of Bones, Old Lord Skull

God of the Dead, Wasting, Decay, Corruption, Parasites, Old Age, Dusk, Fall, Exhaustion
Alignment: Neutral Evil

MYRKUL appears as a cloaked, animated corpse--skeletal at his head, becoming fleshed toward his feet, which are gangrenous and rotting. He is said to have a cold, malignant intelligence and to speak in a high whisper. His supernatural servants are known as the UNDEAD LORDS. Myrkul lives in the Castle of Bones, located in the moonless Land of Always Night, Hades, across the White Plains of Fugue.

MYRKUL is the Master of the UNDEAD LORDS . He is the One who has raised us from the dead and commands that we actively recruit new followers and destroy all who would oppose His return.

We are a guild whose name is feared and revered. With Myrkul's wisdom we shall usher in a new age of existence. Our history is kept by the Keeper of Knowledge and is chronicled in the Guild Charter. Remember, only those worthy shall be chosen by Old Lord Skull. If you are not worthy, then your soul is forfeit simply by laying your eyes upon its unholy script. You have been warned!

Who am I and why am I doing this?

Let's start with the why...if you have accidently come across these pages then I assume an explanation is in order. Well, there was a certain game on a certain online service which I will not give them the dignity of mentioning their name (AOL) for their assinine decision of pulling the plug on our beloved NeverWinter Nights.

The game was a role playing game first made by the fine makers of AD&D, TSR Inc and the gaming company, SSI. It was based as an online game set in Faerun in the Forgotten Realms. Each player could join a guild and become sanctioned just like as if you are making a stake toward godhood in the original game. But the game had its limits and had made quite a few of the old time players disgruntled. Many had moved on. We felt the same but the game did have a great potential. Thus we pushed the role play to made it more interesting and kept our guild active. But AOL got money hungry and since it could not legally charge for a service that already existed on their server, they axed it. So now this Website is designed to keep our members in contact with each other and let everyone know where we are now. But no matter where we find our new home, the philosophy of the UDL will never change.

As to who I am? Well, I could not tell you my real name for anonymity is part of the game. I don't want OOC people hounding me about my player character and his misgivings. I can tell you I am the Eternal One of the Undead Lords who keeps the Chronicles within these pages.

Well, that's it in a nutshell. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I have had creating it.
